Workshop with Dr Priya Kalia, Managing Director of SciTribe, Cambridge UK
29th April 2025, 6.30pm - 8pm, West Hub, Cambridge

Whether you’re presenting a scientific talk, a proposal for a new project, or a pitch for your new start-up, getting across an idea or exciting research in a way that is accurate but memorable is a key skill. The ability to captivate with an effective presentation can be pivotal for career development, no matter which direction you go - in academia, industry or even outside of science and engineering.
This 45-minute workshop will review essential presentation skills, including effective speaking/use of voice, the basics of appearance, content (including slides/visuals), dissecting the key parts of a successful talk, storytelling elements and handling questions. We will also cover the differences between presenting in-person and online and how you can make the most of either situation.
